The world is becoming more complex, risks are growing, and the demands on the reinsurance industry are increasing. This is precisely where ‘risktec Ltd.’ comes in. 3 years after its foundation, the Zurich-based company is presenting a solution that is set to lead the industry into a new era: integre. But before we get to the solution, it’s worth taking a look at the people behind it, who have made it from spin-off to industry authority – with a bold vision that combines risk understanding, technology and entrepreneurship.

Marco Peyer, René Turra and Sandro Nardi are united not only by their Swiss Re past but also by a common goal: to make reinsurance smarter, more connected and more agile. ‘We were always at the interface between technology and the risk business,’ says Marco. What sets them apart is that they have over 50 years of industry experience, coupled with the courage to break new ground.

For Marco, it was the transition from intrapreneur to entrepreneur in the risk industry; for René, the will to achieve something great with like-minded people; and for Sandro the passion to leverage technology for highly innovative risk solutions. Three motives, one mission.

The result: integre – more than just a solution

‘The future of reinsurance requires more than just data and better tools – it needs integrated thinking,’ says Marco. integre is the result of this vision: a modular, scalable approach that builds on the principle of integration – linking people, processes, data, and systems across the value chain. Developed for and with the industry.

The solution addresses the emerging needs of reinsurers in mastering the wealth of risk data, expectations of highly efficient and integrated processes and making better underwriting decisions ultimately. It is built to embed seamlessly, industry-specific and practical.

Growth with substance: 50 employees, 10 major clients

What started as a bold vision is now a team of 50 experts, most of them with a re/insurance and risk background. The broad network, expertise in the market and relevance of the solutions have given ‘risktec’ international visibility and recognition quickly. Its customers include major insurance companies.

Its success shows that the industry is looking for those minds and hearts building solutions that anticipate the needs of tomorrow and reduce today’s complexity without sacrificing depth. And ‘risktec’ has its finger on the pulse. ’It’s a people business. The risk industry is a niche, you know each other, even beyond Switzerland. Trust and Delivering on Commitments is crucial,» says Marco.

Events, training and attitude: more than just software

But ‘risktec’ wants to be more than just a consulting firm. The company is also committed to sharing expertise with clients and beyond, promoting young talent and developing the industry. Marco Peyer is the course director for a new course at the HWZ: ‘CAS Insurance Transformation with AI HWZ’. The focus: practice, innovation, relevance.

In addition, risktec is planning its own events in Zurich as a platform for professionals by professionals of the risk industry to enable exchange with no barriers to entry. The idea: no conference circus, but targeted inspiration and networking.

The vision: care meets code meets courage

In times when many are relying on AI to solve the world’s most complex problems, Marco reminds us of something fundamental: ‘AI needs good data, but above all it needs human intelligence as input as wll as to make the next leaps forward. Without context, technology is ineffective.’ That is why ‘risktec’ relies on cross-generational and cross-functional teams and on dialogue rather than dogma.

The name integre says it all: a solution that combines integrity, integration and intelligence. And a team that knows that resilience is not just a buzzword, but an attitude.

What’s next?

The launch of integre marks the beginning of a new phase for ‘risktec’. The focus is now on scaling, deepening existing partnerships and further expanding our innovative strength. An appearance at re/insurance outlook europe 2025 in June in Zurich is already planned.

Marco sums it up: ‘We are developing the solutions today to deal with tomorrow’s uncertainties. And we are just getting started.’
